The Belcher’s is a residential project located in Kennedy Town, Hong Kong.

The apartment has a “diamond shaped” plan typically found in Hong Kong. A common design tendency is to reshape the living area into a rectangular space for better usage, thereby making the living room smaller.

Our design preserves the openness and spaciousness of the original layout with a custom designed half-height TV cabinet / study platform in the center of the living room, providing a symbolic hearth for the new home.

We combined the living, dining and study areas to increase the spatial perception of the overall living area. A concealed door leads into the more personal spaces of the apartment, dividing the public and private areas.

Materials and finishes were chosen to reflect the lightness / calmness of the overall neutral color palette.

Recessed bronze color stainless steel door handles are fitted for the wardrobes to add a finishing touch to the design.
